Candlewood Suites South Bend Airport by IHG

Staff members were very courteous. The room was clean and updated. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrible, they fold up around your head like a taco. The kitchenette is nice but I feel like this facility is geared more towards extended stay customers. Dont expect any of the standard amenities such as disposable cups, tea bags, ice machines, or complimentary breakfast. It's basically a nice, clean, no frills hotel.

I ended up staying here after my flight was delayed so I was obviously already in a crappy mood but was completely and positively surprised by how much I enjoyed this hotel. As someone who grew up in the 90s the room had a slightly older but well taken care of layout that felt more like a one bedroom apartment than a hotel. Full sized sink, dish washer, and fridge, spacious living room layout, great bed, and the customer service was far above what I expected. I don't normally review places but this hotel left an unforgettable impression on me and made my layover feel much more enjoyable. Also some great and cheap restaurants in walking distance. Would absolutely stay again if I'm ever in the area. Stay here if you're wanting to be by the airport!

This is an incredible place to stay. Amazing staff that do an incredible job. Any problems with your room they will fix it to make your visit amazing. Love the kitchenette in the room as well. You also have a laundry area and gym equipment for guest..

My family and I stayed for two nights. The gentleman at the front desk was prompt, kind, and very helpful. We were checked in, with room keys in hand, in under two minutes. Our room was clean and beds very comfortable. We genuinely have zero complaints about our stay. We will be staying again, when in the area.

Close to the airport and big parking lot. Everyone is quick to help if needed. Community cupboard that you may purchase food if you need. Complimentary Hot coffee always and fresh fruit.

Candlewood Suites is a very nice homey hotel. It's preferably for extended stays but not necessary of course. I'm honored to have my family and I stay here while we take handle business and do some sightseeing. There is so much to offer out here. Especially the Studebaker museum. That was so cool. It exceeded my expectations. However, back to Candlewood Suites... It's in a great location next to the airport, and many gas stations nearby. Ifyou need a midnight snack or need to fuel up from your travels you can do so. I love how Candlewood is inviting and the folks are so kind and offer a helping hand or point you in the right direction. You have the option for your room to be cleaned when you would like, or put do not disturb when we need our sleep They feel like part of your family and not just a business. They offer a cupboard which entails lots of food if you need some food or snacks or even some deodorant. Coffee is always fresh on the grind and ready at all times. You've got your washer and dryer and also the weight room. There is no pool though. All together as I had mentioned before, anytime I come to indiana, I will be staying here. My flight was cancelled and the airline got us in. Staff was amazing and rooms were spacious and clean. If you sre in the area and need a place to stay I highly recommend.

Customer service was truly amazing. Both gentlemen I had the pleasure of dealing with were the epitome of what you hope to find when you're in need of a room—especially if you find yourself in a rough spot like I did, without a reservation after a very long day of severe weather. I walked in well after midnight in search of a room, and Deshawn treated me as if I had arrived right on time for a scheduled check-in. He was extremely pleasant, kind, and helpful after a tough day. The next morning, Bob helped me with my rewards and treated me as if there were a “world’s greatest concierge” competition—and I just happened to find myself in the finals between Bob and Deshawn. Everything was as it should be with the room: clean, comfortable, with a stovetop and full-sized fridge. The kitchen provided everything you might need if you were trying to save a few bucks by making meals instead of ordering takeout.
